On July 3, 2025, ChangAn held a grand launch event at Motor Forum in Drammen, Norway, marking the official opening of its first European flagship store and introducing the strategic model- CHANGAN Deepal S07. Chen Wenlin, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Norway, YUAN Mingxue, Chief Representative of ChangAn Europe Bussiness Unit (Hereinafter referred to as ChangAn Europe), Vidar Eriksen, CEO of Motor Gruppen, and other guests cut the ribbon, witnessing a milestone of the development of ChangAn's European business.
Nic Thomas, Regional Marketing Director of ChangAn Europe, emphasized: "The opening of the Norway flagship store embodies ChangAn's 'In Europe, for Europe' philosophy. Over the past 20 years, we established three R&D centers in Europe to localize our products. Partnering with Motor Gruppen, a century-old Norwegian auto group, will accelerate the introduction of ChangAn's electrification and intelligent technologies in the European market."
Jakob Pettersson, Deepal Exterior Design Director, vividly explained the car's "Symbiotic Aesthetics" design and showcased its impressive smart cockpit interaction, drawing significant attention. As a strategic product for ChangAn in Europe, the CHANGAN Deepal S07 is built on the EPA1 electric digital platform. It features over 150 localization adaptations for European user preferences, road conditions, and regulations. Standard equipment includes innovative pulse heating technology (enabling fast charging at -30°C) and the Golden Shield Battery (ensuring safety with real-time AI monitoring). CHANGAN Deepal S07 is priced at NOK 399,900 in Norway.
At the launch event, YUAN Mingxue, Chief Representative of ChangAn Europe, and Vidar Eriksen, CEO of Motor Gruppen, jointly delivered the key to the first Norwegian owner, Henriette and her family, who placed an order on-site. A creative "frunk gift box" conveyed the brand's warmth.
Motor Gruppen CEO Vidar Eriksen stated: "Norway has the world's highest EV penetration rate. The CHANGAN Deepal S07's outstanding performance and design perfectly match local needs. Our cooperation is a strategic integration of our strengths, and we are committed to growing in the Nordic market together."

ChangAn and Motor Gruppen are jointly building a service network, offering industry-leading warranties (7-year/160,000 km for the whole vehicle, 8-year/200,000 km for the key electric components). A local parts warehouse in Norway ensures immediate supply for S07 components. Future product plans are clear: focus on CHANGAN Deepal S07 (mid-large SUV) and S05 (mid-size SUV) in 2025; launch a compact SUV in 2026; and add another mid-large SUV in 2027. All these actions are serving our localization strategy.
With the first CHANGAN Deepal S07 officially delivered, ChangAn begins a new chapter in the European market starting from Norway. The event featured in-depth test drives and design appreciation sessions, attracting nearly a hundred media and users.
